the sarah bernhardt

i had a dessert this week that shattered my understanding. my mind exploded into a million happy pieces. my tongue spasmed and quivered and then sat dumb and heavy with each taste bud swollen.

it was a sarah bernhardt from the B and O cafe. It is amazing chocolate mouse on top of an incredible almond cookie and the whole thing is covered in dark chocolate.

it was invented by a danish pastry chef to honor the french actress. i would like to honor the danish chef. this dessert changed my life. really.

It gets my award. I am going to try to make these at home. I found a recipe from martha stewart. will let you know how it turns out.
